Ok.
This cartoon made me laugh. I don't know why.
And
here is an interesting video review on the 50th anniversary of the release of Ben Hur. I've read the book (written by a territorial governor of New Mexico, btw), and seen the movie, but just might have to watch it again.
And
this looks like a pretty interesting site for online lectures.
And if all this is too light-hearted for you today, try some of these heavy things. First, a thoughtful post from Al Mohler on the
Pornification of our culture. Or, try one of Anthony Esolen's excellent meditations on the nature of evil
here, or
here. I always find his writing thought-provoking.
And if you're going for really depressing, you might read
this.
Otherwise, stick with the first few links.

You're beginning to rival Justin Taylor with all your great links, Chris! I like Anthony Esolen too, so I've made a note to read those later. I chuckled at the joke too--I've often thought that my present internet habits don't help me to "get over myself". Retarded. Haven't heard that for awhile. It probably isn't PC.
LOL, M! I may resemble J.T. because I steal so many things from him, as I've said before...
Yes, but I read JT regularly so I know that you are adding some new stuff besides. BTW, is the cartoon you linked to public domain? I'd like to link to it/post it. My 17 yo got a kick out of it--"It's so true."
I ran across the cartoon in my blog reading, and couldn't remember where I actually found it. That's why I felt better posting to that link than posting the actual photograph :-)
